What is RemapGrid?
RemapGrid is the software for running your tuning file service: requests, files, conversations, dealers and billing in your own branded portal. The Grid is the network connecting those independent portals, so businesses can buy files and exchange specialist work with approved providers.
What makes the Grid different?
It connects the businesses behind the portals. If you need a file, more capacity or specialist expertise, you can turn to an approved provider from your existing workflow. Their result comes back to your team for review, then you deliver it to your dealer. You keep control of your customers, brand and retail prices. Initial Grid workflows support portable Master reads.
Can I buy files and provide work to other portals?
Yes. With Grid access, you can request connections to providers; each provider approves its own customers. Becoming a Grid provider requires separate approval. Once approved, you can publish catalogue files and accept custom jobs from connected portals while still buying files or commissioning work from other providers.
Who sets the prices and handles payments?
Each provider sets the prices for its connected customers and handles its own payments and invoices. You have a separate account and balance with each provider. What you pay the provider is separate from what you charge your dealer: your own retail pricing and customer relationship stay yours.
Can I reuse a file bought through the Grid?
Eligible catalogue purchases include a reusable licence and enter your portal’s matching library. Future requests with the same original file and compatible requested work can reuse that file without another purchase from the provider. Matching checks the original file, not just the vehicle model. Approved providers can also republish eligible licensed files through their own catalogue.
Can I use my own branding?
Yes. RemapGrid includes portal branding controls for your logo, colors and appearance, so dealers see your business throughout their file service experience.
Does RemapGrid tune files for me?
RemapGrid is the software behind your file service. Your team handles tuning, or you work with connected providers through the Grid. Exact file matching can reuse eligible, previously prepared files; it does not generate a new tune.
Do I need my own hosting for free testing?
No. The free testing phase is hosted by RemapGrid, not self-hosted. We handle hosting, updates and backups automatically, so you don’t need to set up or maintain a server. You’ll need a domain and access to its DNS settings. After your application is approved, we provide the DNS records that point your domain to our hosting and help you add them. Once your domain is connected, the system handles portal setup automatically. Your testing period starts when your portal is activated.
Should I use the beta with real clients?
Start with internal testing to decide whether RemapGrid is right for you. You may choose to try it with real clients, and real payments are supported. This is a closed beta: bugs, interruptions and product changes may occur and could affect your business. Live use is optional, not expected as part of testing.
When can I get access, and what will it cost?
Apply for 3 months of free internal evaluation. We’ll review your application and email the next steps and setup instructions. The testing period starts when your portal is activated. In return, we ask for feedback on bugs and improvements. Testing participants receive preferential pricing if they choose to subscribe; we’ll share details before you decide. There’s no automatic subscription. You can also join the launch list without applying to test.
